&#34;wildflower&#34;.\u00a0 The flavors also depend on the weather and (not surprisingly) what&#39;s in bloom.\u00a0 We do 2 harvests per year:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Spring Harvest<\/strong> (end of June harvest) is light and floral, sometimes fruity &#8211; depending how much it rains during the apple bloom in early May.\u00a0 This is our personal favorite, and if you like to eat yogurt with honey, put it on your breakfast cereal or in tea, it&#39;s the way to go.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fall Harvest<\/strong> (beginning of September) is dark gold, sometimes reddish, and dominated by goldenrod and Japanese knotweed &#8211; bees love the stuff.\u00a0 Goldenrod makes it rich and flavorful, and knotweed adds depth without making it heavy (unlike buckwheat).\u00a0 It goes great on toast, in a salad, or anyplace you really want to taste honey.\u00a0 Also great for cooking or in coffee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A note on plastic&#8230;\u00a0 We use only BPA-free containers produced in the USA which we obtain from the major beekeeping supply companies.\u00a0 These are high quality bottles which are as free of evil as possible, and they&#39;re good for re-purposing (great for home-made salad dressing, cake frosting, etc. &#8211; and they&#39;re handy around the shop for wood glue, compressor oil, etc.).\u00a0 These are by far the most preferred option for shipping honey (they&#39;re light and unbreakable), and a little googling strongly suggests that the sustainability of glass as a material is outweighed by its (much) larger carbon footprint due to the high temperatures required involved in its manufacture in addition to greater energy consumption required for its transportation.\u00a0 So please don&#39;t feel guilty about buying honey in plastic &#8211; it might actually be
